Inputs are cleared when you switch tools. Downloaded files and copied results stay where you save them.

About Contrast Checker

Check a text-and-background color pair while reviewing UI tokens or preparing a readable interface.

How to use it

  1. Enter the text and background colors as three- or six-digit HEX values.
  2. Run the tool to calculate the contrast ratio and show a preview.
  3. Review the AA and AAA results for the text size you intend to use.

Good to know

  • Results apply to opaque, flat colors. Images, gradients, transparency and surrounding visual context are not evaluated.
  • Large text means at least 18 pt, or 14 pt bold. A contrast pass alone does not establish that a page meets every accessibility requirement.
